Experience and Memories 

Last October 23 2016 We had our Prenuptial at La mesa Eco park [Check my Location for our prenuptial shoot along Metro Manila] with 1 photographer and 1 videographer sent by Awesome Events by Mark our chosen event organizer.

Getting Ready...

Before our prenup. Hubby and I wanted our prenup to be who are we before we met each other. I like cosplaying a lot way back high school days i love JDRAMA and ANIME and im a certified Otaku and a gothic lolita ever since. While he was a varsity player dreaming to be a basketball player but ends up in an accident that's why he end up enrolling at my school. We share ideas for our prenup video and come up with a little drama. 

Props and outfit...

As i said on my previous blogs we encounter several problems and lack of time before our prenup date so as for my outfits i forgot to get it in the rental shop (end up refunding it) i rented a long white gown for my prenup but it sadden me when i remember about it they are already close (Saturday night)  and Sunday we need to leave early so i end up using my long dresses at home. I also prepare props because its not included in our package we need it to prepare it our own. Hindi ko naman kailangan ng maraming props kasi yung idea namin is simple lang a prenuptial pictorial with our younger brothers and ang babies namin Si Shiva and Pain our pet dogs.

Location...

We want it early because as you can tell napakainit ng mga time ng 2016 it's a park and napaka limited lang ng fan sa area. When our photographer and Videographer arrived We pay 600 pesos for using electricity and for the entrance of 7 persons at the front office called ECO-CENTER or the Pangasiwaan it is a big hut located in front of a parking lot before you enter the main park, it is also where the makeup artist do your makeup it has a comfort room/changing area on the right side for Comfort room and Changing your outfits it also have industrial fans and chairs but if your'e like us we schedule our prenup on Sunday madami kang makakasabay na mag prenup/debut sa area plus family day pa. 

Miss Onang Tumala of AEM was my assigned MUA by awesome with his husband as our Videographer Mr. Mark Tumala and Mr. Leo Pacalda as our Photographer and by the way Hair and Makeup is not included in our package so I payed 2,500 for 2-3 looks. They also told us na sa labas nalang kami mag pipictorial dahil madaming tao sa loob which is may mga spot naman sila na alam na konti lang ang tao, plano sana namin sa butterfly haven but kung mahirap naman kumuha dahil sa dami ng tao we agree na sa labas nalang.

Road to Forever...

We are not the type of couple na mahilig sa PDA if you look at us in public hubby and I are just like brother and sister so it take a lot of courage to pull this 💔. Luckily yung napili nilang place is bibihira nga talaga ang tao. All is smooth and according to plan kahit obvious na hirap sila samin dahil hindi kami ganung ka sweet is they still give us ideas and motivation even though na napakainit that time is hindi kami na bobother they are funny to work with and napaka professional. They knew some spots na hindi matao and hindi mo aakalain na nasa Ecopark ka. Pag ang Prenup ginawa sa Ecopark super obvious kasi pero yung samin kung hindi makikita yung isang Pavilion hindi mo talaga halata.

Overall...

After 5 hours 2 looks thousand shots is we are done! pagkatapos na pagkatapos ng last shot with my dogs while hubby and I are kissing umambon na~ 
I don't know kanina lang ang init tapos biglang umambon blessing or what umiyak talaga ako~

so lets get started~.

We set our prenup last October 2016 morning at Le mesa Ecopark. Yes, the super common La Mesa Ecopark located near Fairview and Commonwealth.  We held our 1^st to 5^th monthsarry there. If we want to swim or family gatherings we held it there. If we want peaceful and just look at the plants and trees we go there.

Ecopark is listed as prenup location in our contract at awesome events by mark in case we have no choice  But actually hubby and I agree na ayaw sana naming sa Ecopark mag prenup there are several reasons why pero nag no choice kami because kinulang kami sa oras. Here are some of the plans or themes we want and the reason bakit hindi namin siya tinuloy.

Beach Theme- Base in our plan we want our prenup held by the beach Subic to be exact dahil unang beses na pinayagan kami ng parents namin bumyahe together sa Subic kami napadpad memorable sakin yung place kasi hindi talaga kami nakakaalis or nakakapunta sa malayo ng walang chaperone pero dahil may extra fee sa mga photographer mag travel outside the Metro hindi nalang naming tinuloy.

Toy Museum Theme- We are both Otakus love toys, anime, cartoons a movie buff so naisipan naming sa Yexels toy Museum nalang sabi ni Miss Roxanne may dagdag na fee ulit kasi Paranaque ok lang sana kaso sabi ng younger brother ni hubby hassle pumunta ng Paranaque dahil sa traffic sabi ni hubby meron sa ocean park tumawag kami to inquire but our prenup schedule is Sunday madami daw tao nun hindi naman pwede pigilan ang volume ng tao so hindi nalang ulit naming tinuloy.

Swimming Pool/ Garden Theme- Here I told him La mesa Ecopark is the most affordable and na sakto sa Swimming Pool and Garden Theme na gusto namin. But on the other hand we don’t want to do our prenup there because it’s too common. Wildlife, Circle and La Mesa Ecopark are the prenup or predebut hot spot. We inquire sa Secret Garden located at Novalichessuper ganda ng rates na binigay nila samin around P10, 000 for prenup shoot and also nag inquire kami sa Fernwood Gardens which is P15,000 naman maganda kasi yung spot for prenup and dun sana din yung venue for the wedding.

School Theme- We inquire in our Alma Mater if ever pwede kami mag prenup sa loob, we asked the minister who works inside the university if ever were allowed to do a prenup shoot.  Just some referrals and salaysay and yes pinayagan kami!

Dalawa na yung option namin yung school namin and Fernwood Garden.

10 days before our prenup date my tita died so no choice we need to travel to Appari Cagayan we are so excited sa trip na nakalimutan namin na may meetings pala kami na need to attend we forgot our responsibility hindi kami nakapag pareserve sa Fernwoods and hindi namin  na update yung minister na Sunday ang prenup date. So 5 days before our prenup date like I said we had no choice Ecopark nalang talaga ang luckily Ecopark ang nailagay namin sa contract.

For P600 pinaka affordable sa lahat sa ecopark parin kami napadpad haha!

Wedding planning and our Experience with awesome events

Our experience at AWESOME EVENT BY MARK 

(Planning)

Last January 2016 our 6^th anniversary, me and my long-time boyfriend planned to get married and last January 2017 was the chosen date. 

For 1 year we planned and prepared but because were both busy nahaharap lang namin ang wedding prep once a week. So ang nangyari instead of looking for an individual supplier ang sabi ko kumuha nalang kami ng all in packages para wala ng problema.Wala na nga bang naging problem? Of course meron.

Unang option namin that time is the Magic Events mas malapit and mas convenient dahil kilometer away lang siya sa house ko 3x kaming pumunta sakanila but nakakita si hubby ng mas maganda and mas madaming nag refer samin which is the “AWESOME EVENTS BY MARK” located sa Marikina na medyo malayo pero looking at the packages and yung nakalagay sa packages nila is mas maganda nga. Matagal sila mag reply sa chat so ang ginawa namin pinuntahan nalang naming sila and ang naging organizer naming that time is si Miss Erci Nag downpayment muna kami ng 10,000 pesos para mapareserve yung package na 150,000 they called It the classic package if I’m not mistaken. The plan that time is September 20 2016 ang wedding kasabay ng Birthday ko. But after four months nag change kami ng date dahil hindi daw maganda sinasabay ang wedding sa birthday, hindi ako mapaniwalain sa superstitious thingy pero sige mas maganda ka na ilagay naming sa date ng anniversary namin.

I contact them na we want to change the date kaso hindi na available yung 20 ang pinaka magandang slot nalang is 24 so hubby and I both agree na sige 24 nalang but I think around August I can’t remember the exact month nag resign na daw si Erci so nag drop by kami agad agad and si Miss Rox ang humawak samin. Nagsign ulit kami ng another contract dahil nawala or hindi na nila mahanap yung contract namin lahat ng plans na we tackled with miss erci yun din ang sinabi naming kay miss rox and dahil nakaabot kami sa cut off hindi tumaas ng P10,000 yung package because there new rate for the classic package that year was 160,000 pesos.

Few more months bigla kaming nag change ng package reason is hindi kami napayagan sa Central ikasal dahil puno na ang slot so sa Lokal ko nalang kami nag pa schedule which is walking distance lang sa bahay ko . Iglesia ni Cristo members kasi kami. Walang malapit na hotel around my place and sa church so dahil kaya naman mag occupy ng bahay naming na maraming guest dun nalang ang location for the preparation. Inalis naming yung same day edit dahil maliban sa rooftop wala na masyadong magandang view sa bahay so bumaba kami ng package na Prime which is 130,000 pesos.Wala si Roxanne nung nag fill up kami ng form so sa ibang coor namin siya napasa.

October ang date ng prenup namin pero i-include ko yung experience sa ibang blog bago kami mag prenup ilang beses pa kaming bumisita sakanila and sa tuwing bisita namin lagi naming nireremind na prime na ang package naming dahil laging hawak ni Miss Roxanne is yung Classic. Very accommodating sila sa loob and madaming clients everytime na pumupunta kami. Take note naman lahat ng plans and yung gusto naming mangyari. We’re not yet talking about the wedding prep na mangyayari sa mismong wedding date kasi mas need mauna yung prenup and invitations.

Don Jose Heights Clubhouse Final Venue and Rates

Our wedding date is January 24 2017. In my last blog i posted that we are still looking for a venue but last October we made our decision and we picked Don Jose Heights Clubhouse located along Fairview.
Miss Anne Marie Policarpio the person office in-charge told me they have a 3 hours rent, which is preferable for us because we don't want long programs just the traditional one will do, 5 hours for us is too long so I asked her how much the 3 hours rental.

Weekdays
P20,000 for 5 hours P5,000 for Security Bond (Refundable after the wedding)

Weekends and Holidays
P25,000 for 5 hours P5,000 for Security Bond (Refundable after the wedding)

3 hours rental 
P16,000 for 3 hours

2k per hour extention

We did our last ocular with my mom and she like the venue very much so modern and so simple she felt like she is inside a glasshouse in the center of city and forest. I get what she felt that time because on the left side of the glass house is houses and roads cars passing inside the subdivision while on the right side is a forest full of trees undeveloped lands and a soccer field.

The office staffs are very friendly and accommodating we payed our reservation fee P 5,000 last October then 50% down payment after 2 weeks of reservation and the remaining  50%  2 weeks before the reserved date.

Pros

Cons

We find it hard to travel from Luzon Ave. The ongoing MRT project along Commonwealth gives us trouble because its traffic at the same time if you have a good driving skills and the driver can stop the flowing of cars to drive straight in the subdivision gate you can take uturn slot infront along the 2nd rotunda infront of Puregold North Commonwealth because bitin if dun ka nag uturn.  but if not, you can take the first uturn slot along Fairview which will give you time to go right side but takes time because your entering the traffic zone.

Hi! I just want to share some of the venues/reception we visited for the whole month of December and January there are some pictures, reviews and rates. I hope this will help future brides in choosing their venues!

We will be holding our wedding this September 2016 so as early as December 2015 my hubby and i looked at every possible location/venues .Im from Quezon City and the Ceremony will be held at Luzon Avenue Old Balara Quezon City so we looked at the venue rentals within the area. We already had an events coordinator na nakuha which is complete package na siya no venues included nga lang you can check Awesome Events by Mark

Before we leave that day i made a list to consider in choosing a venue

1. Budget: bawal lumagpas sa budget!

2.Location : dapat malapit lang sa area para hindi kami mahirapan sa transpo 

3.Ambiance: not to bright not to dim,looking for anything special sa venue 

4. Space: Is it enough for our guest, not to crowded (i hate crowded place para kasi akong na su-suffocate)

5.Corkage fee: We have our own caterer so may mga venue na may corkage fee talaga lalo na kung may in-house caterers sila. If they have corkage fee dapat mababa lang at yung mas mahal pa sa venue yung mga fees

6.Parking: The most important, most of our guest have their own cars so checking for spacious parking lots is a must we don't want to hassle our guest gusto namin focus lang sila without thinking ano na kaya nangyari sa cars nila

Meron pa silang 2 more pavilions sa loob ng park pero mas prefer namin kasi yung nasa labas.

Way back college days favorite namin tambayan ang Ecopark maganda ang pool maganda ang view medyo crowded nga lang pag weekends. 

Pros:

Affordable, Spacious Parking, Good at Prenup Shoot Pictorial 

Cons:

Kung Summer and wedding probably hindi siya pwede kasi mainit may available naman na Industrial fan na pwedeng irent sakanila for P500/each (reason bakit hindi namin napili) ang Boating Pavilion negative din kung rainy season naligo kayong lahat for sure at the same time walang privacy kasi labas pasok lang ang mga tao. Pag dating naman sa prenup gamit na gamit na siya.

The Grand Terrace

Located at 5 Villanueva Drive corner Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City, The Grand Terrace is a Balinese inspired event venue, They have garden and hall but first i inquire about the packages they have kasi i knew myself na mahal talaga doon at the same time i knew they have an in-house caterer which is the VS&F Catering.  After they handed  me the quotation of the venue, corkage fees and the packages they have alam ko narin na hindi sya pasok sa budget namin too expensive. The place is beautiful and spacious pero budget wise parin dapat.They have Lotus hall, Palm hall, Grand Pavilion, Lotus Garden and Venus Garden. We didn't inquire that much I'm not that interested when i saw their packages haha i took a few shot and off we go.

Pros: Spacious, Different location/halls and garden to choose depends on your taste, well lighted

Cons: Not enough space for parking what if nagsabaysabay lahat ng venues ginagamit?

Gazebo Royale

My future mother-in-law said that Gazebo Royale is such a beauty my future brother-in-law said the food is not that good but for me I really really love the place! The trees, flowers the venue itself! i love it! but i don't love the price too expensive than The Grand Terrace but the it's all worth it. They have different Gazebos to choose from.

Downstairs is a room where the bride can do some retouch while upstairs is the location of the band/orchestra/acoustic duo

Same idea with The Grand Terrace too expensive and we will exceed in our budget they have an in-house caterer too and have a corkage fee i just love the idea that we will held our wedding party there but still budget wise first.

Don Jose Height Clubhouse

Located at Dona Carmen corner Pantaleona Street, Don Jose Heights, 1120 Quezon City this clubhouse is one of my Top 3 venues to choose for P20,000 lesser than our budget for venue the place is well lighted place with aircon and have Ceiling Swag free of use!

As we arrived  they are setting up for a wedding reception,the whole place is the perfect venue for our checklist, staffs are very accommodating and the place is nearer to us.

Pros: Affordable, well lighted, They have Aircons, High ceiling
Cons: Ample Parking Space but not i think hindi kasya lahat ng guest cars namin. Im thinking din about the set up pahaba kasi sya so if sa main door galing ang bride and groom the distance is not that long around 30 steps lang.

 Neopolitan Brittanny Subdivision Clubhouse

Located at Neopolitan Ave., Neopolitan Brittany Subd., Brgy Pasong Putik Proper, 1118 Quezon City, near SM Fairview Brittany Clubhouse is the 2nd Spot! Spacious Hall with 350pax and a pool you can rent exclusively perfect for the plan of vintage theme wedding no corkage fees wide parking area and also i also see my self taking a photo in their bell tower. The problem here is hindi ka makapag inquire nang maayos dahil parang laging nagmamadali ang mga staffs isang sagot isang tanong. 
Pwede na siya sa 120pax maluwang kahit aalog alog kami sa loob.

Pros:Reasonable Price, good shot for wedding pictorials, can rent the pool for after wedding party, super wide space for parking.

Cons: as i said hindi ganun kaaccomodating ang mga staffs, mababa ang ceiling nothing special may pag ka dim din kailangan ng mood lights

Zias Garden Events Place

Zias Garden is Located at 652-C Congressional Ave., Extension, Brgy. P-Tamo, 1107 Quezon City, its not that noticeable because its a building near a gasoline station I thinks its on the third floor of the building Hindi ko lang kasi siya gusto dahil sa harap nga ng gasolinahan and hindi ka maka grand entrance dahil nasa tuktok ng building which is nasa labas ang hagdan. The staff said merong stairs from basement parking paakyat sa reception tamad ako kaya its a no no to me. Aside from the reception itself  You can held your ceremony in their roof top garden hiwalay ang payment sa mismong venue.

The Venue

Pros: Affordable and they have in-house caterer, accommodating staff, nice place to shoot, parking lot exclusive for you

Cons: hindi ko alam saan ka pwede mag grand entrance hindi ko rin maisip saan ka pwede maglagay ng stage its a building so may mga post na nasa gitna mismo ng venue i have a feeling na parang magulo and hindi enough yung space.

Fernwoods Garden

Actually fernwoods is not on our list of venues pero sabi ko kay hubby drop by tayo check lang natin yung place so he agreed Fernwood Garden is so special and amazing if you really have a budget

they have in-house caterers they can provide your florist if you want you can upgrade their packages as you enter the place you can see vintage cars which is collections of the owner the dome of the garden and the gardens itself. They have a tavern with so much old stuff but not just old stuff its vintage some are antiques " One man's trash is another man's treasure" indeed. Located at 69 Cenacle Drive, Sanville Subdivision Quezon City. I really do forgot the name of the gardens but below is the website you can visit

Well that's it pero hindi pa natatapos ang pagiikot namin ni Hubby sa mga venues sometimes we think hindi na to for the benefit of our wedding nawiwili lang kami magiikot. We are planning to visit Ibarra's Garden, The elements at Centris, Don Antonio Heights Clubhouse, North Susana Clubhouse, Tierra Pura Clubhouse, Casa Milan Clubhouse, R-20 Events Place soon!
